1. Physical Distancing

Requirement

Action

You must ensure workers and visitors are 1.5 metres apart as much as possible

  • We will brief and remind each client, photo / video subject, or anyone we need to work with, of social distancing requirements.
  • Special signage in our work area (mini “do not approach” a-frame on computer)
  • All photography and videography takes place from at least 1.5m (preferably and usually over 2.5 m)
  • Seek to use largest available space
  • Seek to minimise number of people in the space. Usually our crew will consist of 1 person only. And only people who are appearing on camera need be in the room.

You must apply density quotient to configure shared work areas and publicly accessible spaces to ensure that:

• There is no more than one worker per four square metres of enclosed workspace

• There is no more than one member of the public per four square meters of publicly available space indoors

  • Check size of workspace on arrival, and confirm person limit. In most cases, there will be a crew of one, and only one client or photo/video subject in the room at any time.

2. Face Coverings

Requirement

Action

You must ensure all workers and visitors entering the worksite wear a face covering as per public health advice. This includes:

• Providing adequate face coverings and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to workers that do not have their own

  • Disposable face masks are provided and available for anyone who needs to be present in the space

3.Practise good hygiene

Requirement

Action

You must frequently and regularly clean and disinfect shared spaces, including high-touch communal items such as door knobs and telephones.

  • The operator of the work site we are visiting is responsible for routine cleaning.
  • We will bring alcohol wipes to wipe high-touch communal items as required

You should make soap and hand sanitiser available for all workers and customers throughout the worksite and encourage regular handwashing.

  • We will bring hand sanitiser for anyone who needs to work with us

4. Keep records and act quickly if workers become unwell

Requirement

Action

You must support workers to get tested and stay home even if they only have mild symptoms

  • We have only one employee. They are aware of the requirement to get tested and stay home in case of symptoms.
Any contractors or subcontractors used, will also be briefed about this policy.

You must develop a business contingency plan to manage any outbreaks. This includes:

• Having a plan to respond to a worker being notified they are a positive case while at work, noting workers who show symptoms or have been in close contact should NOT attend the workplace until they receive their test results

• Having a plan to identify and notify close contacts in the event of a positive case attending the workplace during their infectious period

• Having a plan in place to clean the worksite (or part) in the event of a positive case

• Having a plan to contact DHHS and notify the actions taken, provide a copy of the risk assessment conducted and contact details of any close contacts

• Having a plan to immediately notify WorkSafe Victoria on 13 23 60 if you have identified a person with coronavirus (COVID-19) at your workplace

• Having a plan in the event that you have been instructed to close by DHHS

• Having a plan to re-open your workplace once agreed by DHHS and notify workers they can return to work

  • If our sole employee or a subcontractor is notified they are a positive case while at a workplace (this should not happen, as they should not be at a workplace if they are awaiting test results), they will go home and isolate, and notify the operator of the workplace
  • In the event of becoming aware that the sole employee or a contractor or subcontractor has attended a workplace during the infectious period prior to being diagnosed as a positive case, the contact log will be used to notify close contacts.
  • Worksite cleaning will be the responsibility of the worksite operator
  • DHHS will be contacted and notified of actions taken, a copy of risk assessment provided, and contact details of close contacts provided.
  •  WorkSafe Victoria will be contacted on 13 23 60 if we have identified a person with coronavirus (COVID-19) at the workplace
  • In the event that we are instructed to close by DHHS, we will close immediately and postpone & reschedule any upcoming impacted work
  • Once agreed by DHHS that we may re-open, we will re-open and resume normal operation.

You must keep records of all people who enter the workplace for contact tracing.

  • We will maintain a contact log for all people who enter a workspace we are operating in

5. Avoid interactions in enclosed spaces

Requirement

Action

You should reduce the amount of time workers are spending in enclosed spaces. This could include:

• Enabling working in outdoor environments

• Moving as much activity outside as possible, including serving customers, meetings, tearooms, lunchbreaks and locker rooms

• Enhancing airflow by opening windows and doors

• Optimising fresh air flow in air conditioning systems

  • Most of these points are managed by the worksite operator.
  • Where we have an option to work outdoors, we will do so. Otherwise we will use the largest available suitable indoor space

6. Create workforce bubbles

Requirement

Action

You should keep groups of workers rostered on the same shifts at a single worksite and ensure there is no overlap of workers during shift changes.

You should maintain records of all workers who have disclosed that they reside with another worker and ensure that there is no cross-over between shifts.
